This serial first premiered on 20 September 2015 and aired every Monday at 8:00 pm on Star Plus. Savita Bhabhi is a story of Savita who comes to Mumbai from rural Bhagalpur, Bihar. She has been dreaming of getting into modelling since childhood and she gets the opportunity. Along with her best friend, Guddi, she goes to Mumbai to take part in a beauty pageant organized for the Mallika Fashion Week by Alfansa Fashion House. But things don't go well for Savita. Savita learns about Bhansali, a young man who is running out of money and comes to Mumbai to board at the same hostel as her along with his sister, Bhau. He helps Savita in getting into modelling and helps her find an agent. Later, during the Fashion Show, she meets Rohan Roy (Karan Singh Grover) who encourages her to take part in the pageant. She eventually wins first prize but during all this she was trolled by everyone around her. After the award ceremony, Savita and his sister, Bhau, go to a common room and talk about him. After hearing him talk about his life and how he was bullied at the hostel and the fact that he was still living there even after winning first prize hasn't changed anything and that he hasn't got a job yet. Savita decides to stay on at the hostel as she is still dreaming of becoming a model so she can help him out. But Bhau is of the opinion that Savita should also move along with her. Savita's dream finally comes true when Alfansa Fashion House calls her for an ex-showcase at their new showroom in Bandra(Mumbai). Rohan also started modelling at the same showroom. She soon becomes close with Rohan and after a few days of talking, she fell in love with him. Almost all of her friends are jealous of her relationship with him. During the shoot, she is able to move along with Rohan, but her friends are still not happy about it. She then realises that people will only feel jealous if she wants to be with Rohan. Savita decides not to attend the model audition for Bhansali by telling everyone that she had an exam scheduled so she has to take leave. After having told everyone about it, the said exam never happened and Savita was asked by Alfansa Fashion House to attend their showroom.
